Farmer's Market

Saturday was a beautiful day. We had heard about the amazing farmer's market here in St. Albert, so we decided to check it out. It was indeed amazing! They claim it's the largest farmer's market in western Canada and I believe it! They close off the roads downtown for this event! There were so many vendors with everything imaginable. We spent quite awhile there and spent way too much money! Among the loot we brought home was homemade, double chocolate fudge, blackberries, peaches and cream corn on the cob, yellow and orange tomatoes, homemade spring rolls, potatoes, purple onions - well, you get the idea! We stood in line for a looong time so Sara and Sky could get a balloon creation from the balloon lady. Sky became the proud owner of a belt and sword (that nice lady was making lots of these!).
Sara loved her heart-shaped fairy wings!
For lunch we stopped for bratwurst, hot dogs and cheeseburgers.
And ice cold lemonade!

My favourite purchase were these wooden signs. Aren't they adorable?! The pink one is for Sara's room. We're going to hang the goodnight kiss one above our bed.Don't miss the previous two posts - there's lots more pictures in those!

Peggy, the new place looks fabulous! I know what creamed corn is, but I've never heard of creamed corn on the cob??? I have however heard of baked oatmeal! :) My girlfriend loves to make it for her family. My hubby doesn't like oatmeal & the girls are into making their own instant oatmeal so I haven't ventured to try this one yet. I believe this is one of those dishes you can make the night before.

I want those last 2 wall hangings - the long one and the kiss one!! Is this farmer's market every weekend or just once a year??
