It's time for Aloha Friday! The day where I ask you a question and you answer! Thanks to An Island Life for the original idea. If you want to participate, head on over there and follow the directions. It's a great way to meet new bloggy friends!
My question this week:
What are you looking forward to most about 2009 (that you already have on the calendar!)? What was your favourite thing about 2008?
There are two things that I'm most looking forward to, so I'll say both!
#1. The first week in February, our wonderful friends, Bryan and Karen, are coming to visit! They're coming to celebrate their 30th birthdays with a ski trip, visit with us (of course, the BEST part!), and time away from 3 active, (but wonderful) boys!
#2. At the end of April, we will be flying to El Paso, TX to visit my family (Mom, Dad, and 4 younger sisters still at home)! My brother and his wife and two little boys will also be there! My kids are so excited. They've already been talking about it everyday for a month - I don't know how they will wait! Or if I can remain sane with them talking about it all the time! :-) I'll also get to see another friend, Jen, who happens to have a blog I follow! She may even have a newborn baby to cuddle, if I'm lucky!
And my favourite part about 2008, would have to be Joshua's 30th birthday party. I actually managed to truly surprise my husband, which is next to impossible!! Thanks to all of you who made that possible!

We don't really have anything on the calendar yet! I guess I am looking forward to being off for the summer with the G-man. And we may go on a cruse, but nothing is booked yet.
I think my favorite thing about 2008 was watching the G-man grow and change and learn so many new things. He is so much fun and had changed so much in the past year!
I don't have too much on the calendar yet. But my favorite thing about 2008 was my son starting pre-school and my daughter starting 2nd grade! They're both getting so big so fast!
Meeting you some day some(soon) if I can just stop procrastinating long enough (in my defense...we have had the stomach bug..oh how awful it was)
Getting my teeth fixed?
That is about all on the calendar that is exciting (or not)
Nothing much fun yet..but a trip in those mountains would be ever so
nice...
oh...yes...something exciting...we found an aid for the boys and get to interview another one too...
Yeah!
God Bless
Nadine
I'm looking forward to BlogHer 09. As for 2008, I enjoyed spending time with the family on Maui.

thank you for the welcome to Aloha Friday! :) Now...how did you surprise your husband? :)
I most look forward to going back East to my husband's hometown in PA. I have never been there, and it will be so nice to see where he grew up. :)
I think one of my favorite things about 2008 was celebrating out first wedding anniversary. It was paper, and my husband had his wedding vows mounted and framed. It was so romantic. I just cried my wee heart out. :)
Have fun with your friends and on your trip to Texas!
Kelly :)
I don't have anything planned yet.
My favorite event of 2008 was the birth of my twin granddaughters.
the birth of our second child and seeing how Evan deals with it all!
Your trips sound fun, hope you have a great time. It's so nice to have something to look forward to.
My favorite thing about 2008 would have to be the birth of my twins, a double blessing.
We're meeting up with a bunch of friends in Vegas in August, many of whom we haven't seen in a couple of years. I think that's what I'm most excited about for the upcoming year.
We have a few things planned other than that it's one day at a time.
What am I most looking forward to in 2009? Hopefully, my husband finding a permanent full time job. Because of that we have nothing on the calendar yet.
My favorite thing about 2008? That my nephew is in remission- I guess I'm also looking forward to that in 2009 as well- that he stays in remission. And my trip to DE to visit my bff.

Good questions, Peggy!!!!
We're one of those blended families who already know what we're doing for almost every holiday in 2009 because of the older kids' custody schedule. Heck - we've already got Christmas 2010 planned!! But I think the thing I'm looking forward to the most is spending some serious together time with my husband during his sabbatical.
As for the best moment of 2008, it was watching my little boy grow, discover, develop and turn 1. Those are the moments I wish I could freeze in time and re-live over and over again.
Who knows - maybe our Christmas 2009 will be spent with friends in St. Albert!!
2009- I am so looking forward to visiting my dad in Florida in March!! We only have to get through the two worst months of winter and then off to WARM weather!!!
Then I am looking forward to my mom coming to vist us in May!!!
My favorite part of 2008 has got to be the week I spent in Arizona with Emily and my mom.
I LOVE VACATION!!!!
I have a very important event on my calendar the first week of February!!! Ian will be born!
As for 2008...I really enjoyed campaigning for my husband, and the Life Action girls reunion was a true blessing.
